As part of the Winter Warmth project, Gift of the Givers and United International Pictures put together a road show to add some extra warmth for children across South Africa. In 2007 the main attraction of the road show was Shrek, this year it was Kung Fu Panda, from the Dreams Works movie featuring Jack Black.

Who better, to make people aware of how important kids are in South Africa, than Po. Blankets, toys, sweet packs and food parcels were distributed to under-privileged people, those without the comfort of warm homes in the increasingly cold winter months.

This year our motto for the road show was "Toys are pleasures, children are treasures, LOVE them". GOTG believes in meeting the needs of children from the basic to the emotional, and used the road show as a tool to shine a light on the plight and needs of children across South Africa, including the need for protection from child abuse.
