It was Good Friday marking the beginning of the Easter weekend when a call for assistance comes through to the Gauteng team.
2 hours later the Gift of the Givers team arrive in Alexandra where 45 shacks lay in ashes after a fire ravaged through the community. How the fire started is unknown. 110 people now homeless with nothing but the clothes on their backs.
